What are some day trips to take this summer in the lower hudson valley of NY? - family day trips
We have 2 children, both under 11 years. Every year we go to Disney and was a bit "old". Instead of traveling "family" my husband wants a couple of days was this trip. (Or even a long weekend). We are very close to the border in the vicinity of Jersey and Manhattan. Also not to travel further to the north of the state. Has anyone suggestions about what interests us and especially children?

My brother lives in the region and speaks volumes about the Finger Lakes region. He says there are all sorts of recreational activities make things outdoors, as a camp for adults. She loves horseback riding, jet skiing, boating, camping, etc. ..
